One kind of document, done properly

Yes Slides LTD works on commercial proposal presentations: the decks that go out with an offer and the decks that get presented across a table. Structure and visual design are the whole of it.

What we specialise in

Narrow on purpose. A proposal deck is not a brochure and not a report, and it fails in its own particular ways.

A proposal presentation has one reader, usually in a hurry, deciding whether to keep reading. It has to carry a problem, an offer, a scope, a set of dates and a price, and it has to survive being forwarded to somebody who was not at the meeting. That is a different job from a website or a brochure, and it is the only job done here.

The work is structure and visual design. The content, the figures and the commercial terms come from the client, who knows them and stands behind them. What comes back is the same offer, put in an order a reader can follow and designed so that the important lines are the ones that stand out.

The work suits service companies, agencies, consultants and sales teams: businesses whose offer has to be explained rather than shown, and whose proposal is doing the selling when nobody from the company is in the room.

How the work is run

Four habits that decide most of what it is like to work with us.

Structure before design

The order of the slides is agreed in plain words first. Disagreeing about a running order costs a reply; disagreeing about it after twenty slides have been designed costs a week.

Questions instead of guesses

When two slides disagree, or a figure looks like it belongs to last year, you are asked. Nothing about your offer is quietly corrected, and nothing is invented to fill a gap.

One set of comments at a time

Revisions work best collected and sent together. It is faster for you, cheaper to run, and it keeps the deck in one state rather than four.

Editable on purpose

The file you receive is built to be changed by you: text in text, prices in text, nothing important flattened into a picture you would have to come back to us to edit.

What you will not find here

A short list, because the absences say as much as the claims do.

  • No client names, logos or testimonials. Client work is not published here, and every slide on this site is an invented demonstration.
  • No success rates or conversion figures. Whether a proposal wins depends on the offer inside it, and no honest number could be put on that.
  • No promise about tenders, funding or sales. A clear deck is easier to read and easier to present. That is the claim, and it is the whole claim.
  • No prices or turnarounds on the website. They belong in a written quote against your material, where they can be kept to.
