Yes Slides / proposal presentation design

Proposal decks, designed from your content

You send the offer: services, scope, prices, dates and your brand files. We put it in order across the slides and design it, then hand back an editable presentation in the agreed format with a PDF alongside.

Invented example

Kelbrook Interiors / proposal for Harewood Dental Practice 03

What we propose

Two phases, both worked outside surgery hours.

Reception moved

The desk turns 90 degrees against the north wall, clearing the corridor to 1,200mm.

Waiting area re-laid

Seating for 24 in three bays, with a 900mm route between them.

Worked around you

Evenings and Sundays, so all four surgeries open as normal each morning.

Kelbrook Interiors

A designed slide from an invented proposal deck. The practice and the figures on it are made up for this website.

  • You send the content
  • We structure and design it
  • You get editable slides and a PDF

02/ 09

What we design

Proposals sent to a named client, decks presented at a sales meeting, and the service overviews that go out ahead of both. They are built from the six blocks below, in the order that suits the offer.

Slide 01

Client challenge

The problem in the reader’s own words, so the rest of the deck has something to answer.

  • Taken from your notes of the enquiry
  • Nothing added that you have not said

Slide 02

Proposed solution

What you are offering, stated once and plainly, before any detail of how it is done.

  • One idea per slide
  • Written from your description of the work

Slide 03

Scope of work

What is included, and just as usefully what is not, so the reader stops guessing.

  • Your list, laid out to be scanned
  • Exclusions given the same weight

Slide 04

Timeline

Stages and dates as you supply them, set along a line the reader can follow.

  • Order made visible
  • Dependencies where you name them

Slide 05

Pricing

Your figures, laid out so that options can be compared without reading a paragraph twice.

  • Your numbers, unchanged
  • Terms kept beside the price

Slide 06

Next steps

What the reader does after the last slide, and by when, in the words you choose.

  • One clear action
  • Your contact details, not ours

The order is not fixed. A deck answering a tender sits differently from one opening a first meeting, and the structure follows the offer rather than a template.

03/ 09

Before & after

The same proposal, twice. Nothing has been added to it and nothing taken away: every figure, date and condition on the designed slide is on the crowded one as well. What changes is where the reader has to look.

Invented example

The companies, figures and dates below are made up for this demonstration. They are not client work, and no client material appears anywhere on this site.

Scope of work and price

The whole offer arrived as one paragraph with a bullet list underneath, and the monthly fee sat in the middle of a sentence. Laid out, the zones, the schedule and the money each hold their own line.

Unchanged Three zones, 20 visits a year, two operatives, £1,450 a month, £17,400 a year, a 12 month term from 1 April and a review at month 9 appear on both slides.

Scope of work and costs

Further to our site visit we are pleased to submit our proposal for the grounds maintenance of Kelbourne Retail Park, covering three zones - the car park, the service yard and the entrance planting beds, on a schedule of 20 visits per year, twice a month from March to October and monthly from November to February, carried out by two operatives per visit with all green waste removed from site on the same day, and we can confirm that the monthly fee is £1,450 including VAT, being £17,400 for the year, on a 12 month term commencing 1 April with a review at month 9, any additional works such as tree surgery or drainage being quoted separately and agreed in writing before they start.

  • Car park - kerb edges, planted islands, litter picking
  • Service yard - weed treatment, drain covers kept clear
  • Entrance planting - pruning, mulching, seasonal bedding
  • 20 visits per year (twice a month March to October, monthly November to February)
  • Two operatives per visit, green waste removed from site the same day
  • Please note that additional works are quoted separately

Monthly fee £1,450 including VAT. Total £17,400 for the year. Term 12 months from 1 April with a review at month 9. To proceed, please return the signed order form by 11 March so that the first visit can take place on 1 April.

Timeline and mobilisation

The dates were correct but out of order: three of them lived in a paragraph and the rest in a bullet list that started at week 3. Laid out along a line, the reader can see how long mobilisation takes.

Unchanged Weeks one to three, the first visit on 1 April, the 20-visit schedule, a written note after every visit and the review at month 9 ahead of renewal appear on both slides.

Timeline / mobilisation

Mobilisation takes three weeks from acceptance. In week 1 we carry out the detailed site survey and agree access arrangements with the centre manager, in week 2 we issue the method statement and risk assessment for your approval, and in week 3 the rota and equipment are confirmed and the operatives are briefed, with the first scheduled visit on 1 April, when the 20-visit schedule begins. A written note is issued after every visit and the contract is reviewed with you at month 9, ahead of renewal.

Packages by slide count

Packages are built by slide count: the longer the deck, the more there is to structure and design. Where each package starts and stops, what it includes and what it costs are set out in a written quote before any work begins.

What the written quote fixes

Slide range
The number of slides the package covers, and what happens to any beyond it.
Editable format
PowerPoint or Google Slides. One editable format is agreed for the order.
PDF export
A PDF of the same deck, supplied with every package.
Turnaround
The working days from your material arriving to the first version being sent.
Revision rounds
How many rounds are included, and what counts as one round.
Source material
What has to be in our hands before the turnaround starts to run.
Price
In pounds sterling, tax included, with nothing added after the quote is accepted.

Work that does not fit a package

An unusual length, a deck written from nothing, a template your team will reuse, or heavy diagram work. It is estimated individually and quoted the same way: one written quote, before anything starts.

Why there are no figures here

Slide counts, prices and turnarounds belong in a quote written against your material. A figure invented for a web page would only have to be taken back once your deck turned out to be a different job.

How packages are worked out

05/ 09

What you provide

Everything the deck says about your business comes from you. That is the part nobody else can write, and it is why the first email matters more than the first draft.

  • The proposal text

What you want to say, in any form you already have it.

  • What your services cover

Enough detail for the scope slides to be true.

  • Prices and what they include

Your figures and the terms attached to them.

  • Scope of work

    Included, excluded, and anything conditional.

  • Dates and stages

Start, milestones, delivery, and who is waiting on whom.

  • Your existing presentation

If there is one to rework rather than replace.

  • Logo and brand materials

Logo files, colours, fonts, and any guidelines.

The facts and the commercial terms are yours and stay yours. Our part is the structure and the visual design of the material you supply. Anything that would change what the proposal actually says is put back to you before it goes into the deck.

06/ 09

How it works

Six steps, and the order never varies. The middle one is the one worth reading: nothing is designed until the slide count, the price, the format, the turnaround and the revisions are agreed in writing.

Step 1

You send the brief

The form on this page, or an email with your material and brand files attached.

Step 2

The order is agreed in writing

Slide count, complexity, price, format, turnaround and revision rounds, all settled before work starts.

Step 3

Structure, then design

Your content is put in order across the slides, then designed to your brand materials.

Step 4

You review it

You read the deck as your reader will, and send your comments in one go.

Step 5

Agreed revisions are made

Anything that would change what the proposal says is confirmed with you first.

Step 6

Files are handed over

The editable presentation in the agreed format, and the PDF, sent electronically.

07/ 09

Deliverables

Two files at the end of the job: the deck you can edit, and the PDF you can send.

File 1

An editable presentation, in the format agreed for your order

PowerPoint or Google Slides. One of the two is chosen when the order is placed and the deck is built in it, so what you receive opens and edits in the software your team already uses.

  • Not both editable formats as standard - if you need both, ask before work starts and it is quoted
  • Text, prices and dates left editable, so next quarter’s version is yours to make

File 2

A PDF of the same deck

For sending to the reader and for printing. The layout holds wherever it is opened, which the editable file cannot promise on a machine with different fonts.

  • Same slides, same order, same figures
  • Sent electronically with the editable file

What the files may be used for afterwards is set out in the terms agreed for your order.

08/ 09

Questions, answered plainly

Eight worth settling before an order is placed. If yours is not among them, the address at the bottom of this page reaches a person.

What do you need from us to start?

The content of the proposal: what you are offering, what it covers, your prices and terms, the dates, and the name of the reader if there is one. Your logo and brand files if you have them. If you already have a deck, send that too. It does not need to be tidy.

Can you rework a presentation we already have?

Yes. A rework is one of the two ways a job can start. The content stays yours: the structure, the order of the slides and the design are what change. If something needs to be reworded to fit a slide, it is put to you before it goes in.

How is the price worked out?

From the number of slides and how much design each one needs. You get a written quote before any work starts, in pounds sterling, and the figure in it is the full price with tax included. Nothing is added afterwards.

Who is responsible for the facts and the prices?

You are. The figures, claims, scope and terms in the deck are yours, and they are not checked or invented here. If something looks inconsistent between one slide and another, you will be asked about it rather than corrected quietly.

Which file formats do you work in?

PowerPoint or Google Slides. One editable format is agreed when the order is placed, and the deck is built in that one; a PDF of the same deck comes with it. If you need both editable formats, say so before work starts and it will be quoted.

How are deadlines agreed?

At the quote stage, against the material you are able to send. The turnaround is written into the quote and runs from the point your material arrives, so a deck waiting on prices or a logo does not start counting until they are in.

What counts as a round of revisions?

One set of comments, collected and sent together, then applied together. Coming back with three more thoughts an hour later is fine, but a second collected set is a second round. The number of rounds included is named in the quote.

How are the finished files handed over?

Electronically, to the email address on the order: by email, or by a download link if the files are too large to attach. Nothing is printed or posted.

09/ 09

Brief & quote form

Tell us what the presentation has to do and roughly how long it is. You get a written quote back with the slide range, the format, the turnaround, the revision rounds and the price, in pounds sterling, before anything is designed.

The slide count sets the package, so a rough figure already helps.

One editable format is agreed for the order, and a PDF comes with it.

If there is no deck yet, describing the material in words is enough to quote from.

General terms are fine at this stage. The written quote follows from it.

There is nowhere on this website to upload a file, so no upload is offered. Attach the existing deck, the logo and any brand material to the email itself, or describe them in the box above and we will ask for what is missing.

Pressing this writes the brief into an email in your own email programme, addressed to us. You read it over, attach anything you have and send it yourself. This page sends nothing and keeps nothing.
